Sound familiar?

  • You know exactly who to call. The phone still feels heavy.
  • You’ve bought the course, the scripts, and the CRM. You use maybe a tenth of it.
  • You set big goals in January and quietly reset them by March.
  • You’ve decided it’s a discipline problem, and you’re tired of trying harder.
  • You’re good at this. Your numbers don’t show it yet.

You don’t have a knowledge problem. You have a friction problem.

The big idea

Discipline isn’t missing. Your parking brake is on.

Humans are always aligned to something. When you’re stuck, your energy isn’t gone. It’s rerouting. More motivation just adds horsepower against the brake. Release the brake and action gets easy.

The VISTA Framework

Five forces. Any one of them can be your brake.

Most coaches fix one ingredient. VISTA looks at the whole recipe, finds the one that’s off, and realigns it.

V

Values

Reorder what matters most and the hard call stops feeling hard.

I

Identity

Who you think you are, and who you’re afraid of looking like on camera.

S

Story

The narrative you run all day decides which opportunities you can see.

T

Truth

The hinge. Shrink the imagined consequences and everything can move.

A

Accountability

Structure that keeps the change from sliding back.

Where it started

“If I didn’t call them, someone worse would.”

My first day of prospecting, I couldn’t make a single call. I’d dial and hang up. Every call broke a rule drilled into me: don’t bother people.

Then the truth hit. Some agents calling those sellers didn’t care about them at all. If I didn’t call, they would.

“Don’t bother people” stepped aside. “Save people” took the lead.

My seventh call was Betty. She said, “I didn’t think anyone wanted to help me sell my home.”

That moment became VISTA. [Read the full story in Chapter One →]

You’ll walk away with

  • A way to diagnose exactly which force is stopping you
  • The reason motivation keeps wearing off, and what works instead
  • How to make prospecting feel like a mission, not a chore
  • Why your story about yourself is shaping your pipeline
  • Accountability that doesn’t depend on willpower

This book isn’t for you if

  • You want another pep talk
  • You’re looking for a new script or lead source
  • You’re already doing everything you know you should
  • You’d rather blame the market than look at the brake

About the author

Mike Rohrig

Mike has been in real estate since 2001. He’s a Principal Broker, and he spent years as Director of Sales for a megateam. He watched hundreds of capable agents stall out, and he wanted to know why. With a psychology degree and five years of building, that question became VISTA.

He doesn’t sell motivation. He’s a mechanic. He shows you where things need realignment, then hands you the wrench.

Questions

Is this a motivation book?

No. You don’t need more motivation. You need to find what’s working against the motivation you already have.

Is it only for new agents?

No. It’s for any agent who knows what to do and isn’t doing it consistently, whether that’s year one or year fifteen.

Can I work with Mike directly?

Yes. Coaching you can actually afford, from someone who’s actually done it. Book a free focus call.
